I have been selling my creations for over 20 years in a variety of media. I began showing my work professionally when I was still in high school, entering my watercolors in juried shows in Northern California (often winning awards). Over the years I have also worked in acrylics, mixed media collage, ceramic sculpture, and most recently in jewelry design and metalsmithing.
I have also worked at magazines and advertising agencies in New York City, developing ad campaigns, branding and websites for many Fortune 500 companies. I have bridged my marketing and art experience by working as an arts marketing consultant, developing marketing strategy, communications plans, and ad campaigns for museums, arts nonprofits, and individual artists. I am particularly interested in the role of art and artists at a community level (my bachelor's degree from Skidmore College is in "Art in Society"). Currently I am working with local historians, community leaders, artists and musicians to create a website about the history of the arts in Montclair, New Jersey.
I have also studied art at San Francisco State University, the Yard School of Art, the New Jersey Visual Arts Center with jewelry artist Thea Clark and privately with sculptor Marion Held and painter James Estey.
Currently I live and work in Montclair, New Jersey.
